Elizabeths and Look Bindings

I got an email from Dan at twintipnation saying the following--"The PX 12 Ti binding will not fit the Elizabeth even with the wide brake. However, the Reactor 10 will fit just fine with Lines Fat Brake 130" is this BS? i was under the impression you could mount Looks on such a fat ski if you had a fat brake. Any info. would be a lot of help.

I have p12's on my spatulas 125 waist, you just have to bend the brakes.

yeah the look wide brakes for the PXs are only good to 100mm on the p12s they were good to about 110

you still have to get the wide brake just so you will have enough to work with to bend out to 110, I didn't check if the px brake was removable like the old pivot but I would hope so to make it easier.

If so just pull the brake housing to one side and pull straight out, they are connected with a one way metal piece that fits like a tooth into the heelpiece, good luck you should go for it since the px has good forward pressure for switch pow pow. (I would still want the turntable, those sticks would own me and blow my knees up in bad fall)

We have a call into Look to see what is the maximum width the PX 12 Ti Wide Brake can handle. No answer yet, which is expected since the season is about to unfold.

But the PX 12 Ti's brake is simply removed by a single screw. The replacement to the wide brake is very simple.

I will keep you all posted when I hear anything.

We got word back from Look regarding the wide brake and this is what they said.

"According to the tech manual it will fit up to a 98 mm width. You can tweek

them a little to make them a bit wider.

"

98 mm and 130 mm are a big difference, id justgot with the lines, cus its hard to bend a brake that much and still have it work well

You can bend them that wide... just don't do it too quickly.

yup. i have the looks on my lizas and there's no problem with bending them out.

i have the rossi scratch 140 bindings, which are the exact same as the looks. the skis have a 110 waist, and the brakes ar 100, so they have to bend them a bit, but it is possible.
