Elias Syrja way underscored in Big Air

I feel like Elias deserved way better than 7th in Big Air. Nosebutter 18, pre-safety triple, triple screamin seamen mute and double cork nose held past the landing were all insane and creative tricks that seemed to be overlooked by the judges.

What do you guys think?
 
If Henrik did the nb trip 16 again he would have gotten 14th. I would like the judges to commentate live so I can try and understand their calls. Also names and address appreciated
 
Big henrik fan here....BUT.. Syrja is by far the most innovative, creative, and technical right now. He shouldve won it by far or atleast placed a lot higher.

That pre nose dub held throughout was definitely one of the best big air tricks ever. Should have definitely been on the podium

seriously though, I hate this judging format. if we had scores for every run, maybe this question would have an answer

I thought both him an Antoine both deserved better as well as probably Andri for the trip misty. Elias and Antoine are lesser know guys who threw down huge, creative tricks

the answer would be people make errors and style is subjective. the truth of the matter is in a stacked competition generally multiple people "should" win.

personally i think any pre grab is fucking dumb, you might think it is awesome, where is the happy compromise here? i prefer to assume the industry experts, promoted to judging the competition made the right call.

also remember integrity in any capitalist situation is suspect.

Regardless what anyone thinks of pre grabs, it shows an unbelievable amount of control and comfort with that trick, so that should receive a high score.

Anyone that went to xgames should see that the new format is so stupid. Being in the crowd, Henrik had more of an "overall impression" than any other skier before he even dropped in. The crowd screamed louder for Henriks face being on screen than when Elias or Antoine landed any of their tricks

Syria for the win or whatever his fuckin name is and then like henrik Birk and Anton fights for 2nd and third with abm fifth and for scores I’m talking like 97 ...... 95-93 for the other guys and like a 92 for abm. Everyone fucking slayed
 
Hendrick, vinny ca$h, bdog all these dudes have been snuffed for being to creative for the judges, nothing new here. Normally takes them 2-5 years to catch on.
 
Agreed. It launched me into an odb/kanye, "Yo ima let you finish but those were some of the hittest runs of the comp" rant.
 
For real.

Birks triple 1800 at the end was insanity. I honestly wish they let him and henny go back up for one more duel. That shit definitely was a gold medal worthy trick.

The reason I put Henrik 1st was because he stomped all his jumps while Antoine and Syrja both had a bobble/crash
 
Judges underscored Elias for sure. It´s so true that if you´re not so known skier you probably get underscored. X-games can really fuck off and suck some hairy cock.
