Electric winch?

Thats so dope!Sorry I didn't reply sooner, for some reason it didn't show up in my threads.I live in central Minnesota and last year the snow melted while we were doing our testing to see if it was even possible so we were out of luck. Our first big storm of the season just passed through and we got about a foot so I'll do some testing soon and see if it works! That should help that someone else did it too!

if you're rich and lazy you can buy a heinewinch off their site for $5000 (same one as poor boyz). they max out at 50 mph

Winch's are simpleee to make. I had an idea. Just find a front wheel drive car and drive it onto one of those things in ferris beulers day off (where you can push the gas and the wheels spin but the car doesn't go anywhere). Then you just wrap some rope around the things the car is spinning on and voila! you have a winch that cost as much as one of those things in ferris beulers day off.

I have actually thought of that hahaha. The only problem is you can't get a car in every spot a winch could go, especially a front wheel drive car, and if something were to go wrong it woul have the potential to go really wrong.

Hmmm... anyone thought of just jacking a car up a bit, attaching some line too the wheel, throwing it in reverse and go pulling the line towards the car? It's nearly free (if you have a car and gas) Just a though.. haha

same reason your phone battery doesn't last aslong in the cold will aslo plague the elctric winch powered by batteries
