I am all for more electrification! Getting stuck in the backcountry without battery power might suck though, hope the batteries can be swapped out!

its not marketed towards backcountry its marketed towards flatlanders. its an incredible sled and an amazing idea as the cost of fuel sky rockets. batteries will only get better, and having the platform to put better batteries in is such a step forward. stoked to see where this thing goes.

also imagine the track speed on an electric motor that thing will outrun an 850 soon

Fewer moving parts = less stuff to break leaving you stranded. Just look at maintenance costs of electric cars vs petrol vehicles. Also getting fuel to remote areas such as northern Alaska is expensive. Curious about weight to power ratios, considering the batteries needed to get you there and back plus a powerful enough motor may be heavy.

Energy density of gasoline vs a battery is why gasoline is still preferred. Very easy to carry a few extra tanks worth of gas on your truck or behind the sled. Carrying that many batteries would be difficult, costly and heavy

I’m interested in buying when they have got the batteries with a range further than 100km,not until then though.

Yeah, to reiterate, these will be dope once battery life in cold temperatures becomes a feasible thing.

Give me 2-3 hours of riding time on one of these, and I will be absolutely interested.

Especially if they also make the sound of those Powerwheels cars we all wanted as kids...
