Election Day!

I voted absentee in CO. I'm pleased with the way my state amendments and referendums panned out. I'm fairly indifferent to the house and senate as long as Tancredo gets in.

Funny how you righties spontaneously become "indifferent" about the elections you lose.

every one does that after they lose an election, it isn't something new. But, i am kinda gald the republicans lost b/c it gives a chance for them to change things and make the party better, where all the democrats can do is make themselves look bad

proposal 44 was voted down... and as of right now the democrats hold the house and are ahead 5 seats in the senate... and RUMSFELD has stepped down

hfjdshfjkds Bahahahaha! You're funny... in a retardedly ignorant way.

rightcoast, the Dems are only ahead one seat in the Senate right now. It's 49 Repub, 50 Dems, and Virginia is still pending.

I become indifferent when the outcome turns out as expected. And the single politician that I supported the most did win. Make of that what you want. I really couldn't care less what you think about it.

Rumsfled stepping down was awesome!

And montana going Democrat was amazing this morning as well.

All I care about right now is Virginia. It could get pretty messy there, but hope for the best.

Because out of my state, I only saw one House candidate that stood out from the rest. I don't bother to fret over other states because they are out of my control.

what, it is called democracy, when one party has been in for a long time, people get tired of it, find flaws in it, and just disagree with it. So they change it. Same thing happened 4 years ago in the midterm elections. People get tired of the one point of view from one party and want to see what the other party offers, it is a cycle.

By 4, I believe you mean 12.

This is a lead-up to 08 in which the Dems can make the Republicans look much, much worse than they have by using this new influence to expose certain things about the past 6 years. It's a position of strength from which to operate. However if they fuck it up, they're doooomed in 08, in all races. They have to get some things done, and show that the House isn't just there to bicker about whether or not a woman is in a persistent vegetative state or not.

all i am saying is that the republicans had if for a while and now the democrats have it. It will eventually change agian. Also if the democrats start impeachment talk, pull the troops out and iraq goes to shit, and the economy slows down then they will be hurt for 08, but the only republican who do anything in 08 is mccain. The Democrats didn't win this election, the republicans lost it.

Um... okay first of all I'm pretty sure the troops aren't going to be "pulled out". However, Iraq has already made it all the way to "shit" and has entrenched itself therein for a long stay, regardles of what any politician does.

the thing is tho that they cant just "pull out" the troops like they have in past wars. It'll be at least a year, mabey more befor we see anything substantial happen

Sadly, I do definitely believe this is the case and will retract my last statement. Apologies.
