Elastic bands in saga outerwear?

i saw a thread about this about 2 months ago and now i cant find it.

anyway what are the elastic bands in pockets on the suit, it feels like the same material as the elastic on the cuff of the pant.

i was just on the phone with them and asked the same question. it's for stashing stuff so that it stays put ... keys... cell phone... anything. i hate it when i have a bunch of stuff in the same pocket and it all gets jumbled together. the grippy elastic should be enough to keep stuff in its place, so it looks like a pretty good feature!
