Jumped on the bandwagon? Fuck you. Elan BUILT the motherfucking bandwagon, son. They were the first company to make a mass-produced shaped ski (which we all benefit from). They were among the first companies to make reliable cap skis and lightweight wood cores. Most importantly, The Elan Airtwist twintip was out the same year as the first 1080. And I got a pair, making me cooler than 90% of you.

my buddy had those same skis and they basically exploaded on the hill. they were shit. this new ski they're comin out with using the fisson binding system with marker should be fuckin sick!

What I'm saying is I have been into newschool since it was possible for the average person to own twintips, (excluding the K2 Poacher) making me groin-grabbingly cool. Elan failed because they never have been good at marketing. And the original airtwist was too small and people have hated Elan ever since. If Elan comes out with a ski slightly fatter than the AMP, I'll ski it just to PISS PEOPLE OFFF.

hey they sponsered tommy deangelo too. Do forget him. But i ALSO had the original elans and they fucking broke in half the first week i got them. then it took them till the next season to replace them, and guess what? Those broken in 3 weeks. I respect the fact that they did innovate alot of ski technology, but that doesn't mean that they make good skis.
