i demoed the 2004-2005 elan skis m something and they were pretty sweet, the were light, carved good, strong, and under your boot they had an extra edge in the middle of your base to stop rails from fucking them up.

 
How the fuck does that work? So do you have a third edge just chillin in the middle of the ski that is just underfoot, or what?

I have a theory that all retards have one long tendon that goes from wrist to wrist, so therefore that is why they always are screwin around with one wrist up, and the other one down.

yah basicly its just a 2cm wide and about 10cm long peice of flat metal right under your boot its flush with the base so you even wax it like a regular base, i don't no all the details but they said it would protect your skis from rail dammage

 
no the ones i demoed were 165's these skis are not one there web site there next year and the demo people said they have larger

apparently elan has spent several years developing their new twins for next year. i wouldn't be surprised tif they came out with something decent

how is a metal thing in the middle of the base going to help? i don't have hardly any damage in the middle of my skis, its just next to the edges.....but it just doesn't make sense - i'd think it would be kinda awkward with two different materials touching the rail at the same time....whatever, maybe it will be revolutionary and i'll put my foot in my mouth

sounds wierd, I don't know if I like the idea of a metal plate in the middle of the ski. oh well, i guess we'll see how they go. anyone have dimensions/graphics?
