but i need to know what kind of effects weed has on your heart

im 15. and i read places it doesnt effect adolescents as much.

well heres the thing. i have a heart condtion. it makes my ekg a tad bit long. the qt wave is like 4.6 instead of a normal persons being 3.8-4.4. so i take beta blocker.
 
it speed up your heart. so if that is a problem don't do it. also, if you do don't do any activities when you do it, run, bike, ski ect. it's not worth takin the chance of dying, just search Google dude you will find a lot more than i know
 
my moms a paramedic and she said if you smoke weed before puberty it kills the guy hormones and makes u grow titties...so if u havent hit puberty dont smoke weed unless you want tits

dude dont bother taking the risk. i mean why do you even want to do it. it is possible to have fun without weed. you sound really dumb asking kids if they think you should take weed cuz you have a heart condition. i mean no offense but why risk it just to get high? go run 12 miles and get a runners high.
 
ya dont take the risk of dying just stay away from it and if you end up haveing a problem and going to the doctor and surviving(dont mean that in a bad way) your parents find out and you in a whole ton of shit
 
Not for someone with a beta blocker...it thins your blood as it is. Beer can thin it to excessive levels in addition to his medicine. That will for sure kill him...
 
right but if he has a heart condition its a different story, weed in fact sppeds up your heart which is dangerous for someone who already has a fast heart
 
actually my driving record is perfect thanks to being stoned most of the time behind the wheel. no tickets, no speed nothing. Im almost sure that would be differnt if i drove sober cause im more recklass and drive faster
 
ok weed speeds up your heart but its not an astronomical amount. when im high i can def feel my heart pumping hard and fast. it feels like i just ran a mile or something. if you can handle running then i think you should be fine but your only 15... i didnt start smoking til i was 18 you really dont need to smoke at that age.
 
you messed up what your mom said. Smoking weed activates hormones in your mammary glands. Guys have mammary glands, but they are normally non-functioning. Heavy, and i mean really really heavy marijuana use will activate your mammary glands, making you lactate.

Dude, i did a research paper on weed and the only way to overdose from it is if you smoked a joint the size of an average telephone pole, (20 feet). Im pretty sure youd pass out before youd overdose.

yeah, weed is pretty harmless in the sense of overdosing but if you have heart problems or mental problems it probably isnt the best idea to be smoking weed. and however said coke. a funny trick to play on people who do or did coke is to take a card and act like you are making a line. they go crazy.
 
First of all I'm a medic and you might want to check your ECG results, the QRS shouldn't be any more then .12 if your qrst sequence is that long you probably have an idioventricular rhythym and you really REALLY shouldn't be taking beta blockers. Especially if your T is inverted, which is a result of an M.I. or taking digitalis, you're heart is basically fucked up and you shouldn't do ANYTHING to compromise it.

staying away from weed isn't that hard unless you are already addicted I would suggest not touching the stuff.

You never know if it is laced with anything and frankly with a heart condition you shouldn't take any chances.
 
I know where my weed comes from. THC contains no addictive chemicals. It's also very easy to tell if weed has been laced. It will usually have a plasticy feel (crack melt) or a glittery look (pcp or something else).

Saying weed affects your heart rate is like saying exercise is bad for you because of it's increase of the heart rate. More people die from heart attacks caused by sex than weed affected heart problems.
 
I'm not joking at all I basically said that his heart isn't beating properly. if you've ever heard a heart beat it sounds like "lub-dub" ... this guys heart might only be making the "dub" sound and slowly at that. he could have some serious problems. and all I'm doing is advising him to not get into drugs regardless of the effects of THC and all that
