im only going once, they have rentals and stuff but i figured if there was no harm for using them, why not. im sure my ft's will be alot more comfortable then the cheap rentals they have
i went for a week to the lake placid ramps this summer, i brought super shitty boots, but kids that had been there before were wearing their full tilts and spk's and said their boots always end up fine
If you're going to use your own boots make sure you take your liners out of the shells when you're down and pull the insoles as well. And if you have cork footbeds, don't use those.
I actually wash my liners in the washing machine sometimes after really hot days, just becasue my feet sweat alot and they smell like shit. They were exactly the same after washing, so I imaagine water ramps would be no worse. Just make sure you keep them out of the boot for a while to let them dry.
The only thing I've found is that I usually end up ripping the part of my liner around the back of my ankle and by my heal from just jamming my foot in and out of the wet liner each day I ramp. Some liners are better in that area than others - SPK liners are pretty good because they're mostly neoprene inside. Other than that as long as you let them properly dry you should be fine
