EEEEEEk brakes are important

Had a kind of exciting ride last night, driving my buddy home, everythings normal coming up to a stop sign, downshift and start to slow down to see my abs light is on, and suddenly my brakes no workie, still have a long way so im thinking hmm maybe i missed the pedal or something (not that i have an idea how i could but its my story so there) try again to find that now my car has no brakes at all and were going right throught that stop. Luckily it was a long straight road and by downshifting, and handbrake i was able to stop.

As we stop my buddy admits to me while i was in the house compressing the spring off my struts he smacked the brake line with a hammer tapping a new bushing in...... look back and the bolt holding the brake line was suuuuper lose and leaking like crazy, all the brake fluid to my rears had drained. Kinda sketchy ride home to his garage where we managed to bleed lines and it works good now. no moral just kinda exiting....city driving with no brakes is unerving, a 10 min drive took over half an hour. Still debating killing him but he helped me fix it so hmmmm

note to self avoid blowing motor....again

I lost my brakes when I was going over the pass. Just so happens that I was doing 60+ mph and coming up to a 15mph turn with no guard rails and a drop of 200+ feet to death.

As I was coming into the turn I went to tap on my brakes. Nothing. I started to panic so I quickly pumped my brakes. Still nothing. I didn't think I had any other choice, so I yanked the e-brake. And nothing happened. I was just picking up speed and accepted that I was going to probably die. I closed my eyes, opened them up a few seconds later and somehow I had made it passed the turn and was still on the road.

 
that's pretty stupid of him because he pretty much could have died thanks to him for taking out your brakes and trusting him to drive you home without brakes!
