Editing

besides imovie, you're gonna be hard pressed to find anything that is free, with the obvious exception of torrents etc.
 
lightworks seems to be windows only, but here is one link I just found that may or may not be helpful. They still list imovie as one of the best free ones
 
Don't you want to edit on Imovie ? I mean, for a "built in" editing software it's quite good, far better than windows movie shit maker.For free, you need to go on torrents but I'm not gonna encourage you doing this, it's an option.
