what do you think is the best editing system? for any amount of money?

avid is the best and trust me, once you sit down, read about it and take a class you will see why it is the best, once you learn how to use the tools you pretty have complete control over the look and feel you want for your editing

 
well does anyone know what the pros use?

avid and adobe premier are the top one's used, alot of people use the movie software you can get with a mac setup. which is a pretty nice setup. but ya, adobe or avid.
