the whole kleenex/tissue metaphore was really off. They are totatlly differnt. Film is an actual photo. it's a negative. Video is just a magnetic strip of tape. One is digital, the other is an actual image.

wow crock, you blew us all away with your insight. I mean it's not like shooting film and digital are the same at all, I mean it's not like you have to set focus, exposure, or even aim at the subject with either type of camera. And I mean when you edit it on a computer it's totally different too. you have to feed your film into your disk drive, where at with video you just aim the camera at the computer screen. I mean yea comparing film to video is like comparing dogs to nascar.
