Im looking for an ok or good editing program for mac. id like it to be free or cheap. like 100 bucks max. any suggestions?

I don't know if adobe premier is for Mac but u could probably find a place to get it cheap. It's the program we use in my highschool and it's super duper sexy

I've seen some torrented versions of FCP be pretty shitty, and not work that right. If you want a solid program that will work well, and give you most of the same shit, get a used or on-sale copy of Final Cut Express. I've seen FCE go for like 80 bucks used on Ebay and craigslist.

If you're just getting into it you should just start with iMovie. It's a great intro and will give you a feel for what you want more of if you decide to pursue the hobby.

pretty much what i was going to suggest. and i'm also going to agree that if you're genuinely interested in real editing, to use final cut.

Just go to a media lab at your school. They will have all kinds of set ups and you can choose the right one for you. Legal and legit. Learn how to edit the right way. IMovie is a good place to start but lacks when you really want to control every aspect of your video.
I would go with Final Cut Pro on a Mac.

imovie.

loljk

Final Cut Express, at first it can be a lil intimidating, but just youtube some videos on how to use it.

You could get Final Cut Express. Its has many if not most of the features Final Cut Pro has. I am pretty sure its around 100$.
