Editing program

I just got my gopro helmet hero hd in the mail and am stoked to start using it this winter. I was thinking about editing programs to get, and would benifit from some assistance. What would be a decent program to have for just throwing clips together, making edits-AKA doesn't need to be super professional or anything. I also don't really want to torrent one so what would you suggest for like 50-100 dollars that I could buy. I have windows 7 so pc compatable. I was thinking powerdirector 8, any experience with this? Thanks!
 
shoulda gotten a mac...
but adobe premier is pretty dope, i think its more expensive than a hundo though, but well worth it
 
ive heard corel is pretty good, one of my good buddies used it before he switched to mac, and i enjoyed his edits way more when he had corel for some reason, but i wouldnt know i have FCS hhaha
 
Would have recommended this, but I've had nothing with problems when trying to use GoPro clips in Vegas. Vegas hates that MP4 format.
