Editing Program Opinions

Okay guys so i finally am going to get a go pro hero 2 and am thinking

about a better editing program for my mac 64 bit processor besides

imovie . Do not have that much experience so an easier to use program is

better for me. I am leaning towards final cut pro x because it is a

much higher step...and i can always download the newer version for free.

Any thoughts on this aspect or other editing programs?
 
Sorry for double post, but alternatively you could download Adobe Premiere CS5.5, great program, and it seems to be getting more popular since apple fucked up with FCPX.
 
if you like imovie you'll like fpcx. fcpx should be called imovie pro. with that being said if you want to go for the better more control version..get fcp7 or premiere. i use fcp7 and love it but if you're not a fan of imovie dont waste your time with fcpx
