Editing help

So i import my GoPro HD footage into Sony Vegas 7 and if i try to watch it at all its glitchy as hell but if i watch the rendered video its fine. its a pain in the ass to edit with since I cant really see what I'm doing. anyone help is ++++K
 
I'm totally talking out of my ass here but maybe your computer can't take the high quality? That's how it is with making beats sometimes, a VST will be mega high quality and the computer can't take it so it gets glitchy. But when formatted to an MP3 and compressed, you can't hear anything.
 
ya its too much stuff to process at once. i have the same problem. what i do is set a loop on the area that you want to see/test and then go tools->preview in player. make sure it only renders the looped part tht u selected obviously. its usually quick if you do like 5-15 seconds clips just to test out how they look. its tedious sometimes but its the only thing i could find to help
