does anyone else have this problem? tryin to get footage and never gettin it....you can't afford a good dv camera cuz that shit is so ridiculously $$ and you try to borrow em but of course no one will give u 1000 bucks for the day to use. Its not fuckin fair at all. Also when you do get footage do u like never see it or never get it ever? Ive lost so much footage in the past. Such bs....honestly whats the cheapest you can get a AVERAGE mini dv cam nowadays? anyone give me an estimate....?

you can get a fine cam for like $500 put a $70 lens on there and your money. look on ebay, they have some good deals now and then, i got my optura 100mc which was 1200 new for 500 with a carrying case and lots of accessories.

I bought my camera 4 years ago for a little under $400. I spent $40 on a cheap wide angle and telephoto set. I assure you that the films I make are quality. YOu just need to know how to use everything.

all i have to say is EBAY EBAY EBAY EBAY!!! it's the best place around for anything. cameras, stands, equipment, lenses. i got my fisheye there for 35 bucks. that's right 35 BUCKS! editing software is a bitch to use unless you have good soft ware (adobe premier or vegas.) and a fast processor (550 or higher)

 
basicly anything will work if you know how to use it. If you think your camera sucks, you probably don't know how to work it, if your editing set up crashes, it's probably because you have no idea what you're doing. save your self the money and the headache and buy movies from people who actually know how to make them.

My weiner is probably harder than yours.

well if not having enough money for a good computer means not knowing what your doing then ya. I had a pentiumIII 500mhz running avid express. I lost a few projects for my tv productions calss on that and finally decided to use their imacs with imovie on them. one is shitty, and one didnt work so...

Mine is 1.5 GHZ but has 1024k ram so its fucking faster than a hooker on steroids. I have like 500 gigs of HD space in total too and it runs so smoothly. Love it.

edit in a lower res, and then just bring in what you need exactly in full if you have a shitty computer. As long as your computer meets the system requirements for the program it will work. anything uder 3 gigs isn't good enough for video editing? how were they editing special effects and shit like 8 or ten years ago?

My weiner is probably harder than yours.
