Editing Advice?

Yeah I know its blading, so please don't hate but what are some things that I can to do to improve my filming /editing. Keep in mind that I have a go pro hero 3+ silver and iMovie

Really the biggest way to improve is through experience and practice. Also look to edits you find to be really well done and try to learn anything from where the footage is cut in the edit to how the shots are framed. Your footage is framed ok in the blading edit but it is very distracting at times (shaky footage, sudden movements, etc.) that can be fixed by steadying your camera. Some of your shots linger a little too long in the edit but like I said see how other people edit and learn from it. I liked when you switched angles on the same clip, that worked nicely. Hoped this helped.

build a fig rig or a handle of sorts for your go pro and your footage will be a bit less shaky

This. Footage was shaky and sort of hard to watch. Also, not all shots need to be follow shots, you can be stationary and still get some rad shots. This will also reduce on the shake.

I'd also cut down on the film burns, one or two is okay but too much and it gets repetitive and distracting.

fuggin shaky as hell. if you have it on a pole, then put it on "upside down mode" and film with it upside down. this makes it easy to carry b/c its weighted down.

Get premiere instead of iMovie, your gonna want to upgrade from iMovie eventually anyways so might as well do it now. Makes editing allot more fun to and its not hard to learn the basics.

Yeah I recommend Premiere Pro. Final Cut is not the way to go.
