Editing advice

1. Use the song sail by awolnation

2. Use tons of slow motion

3. Ramp the fuck out of every single shot

4. Lots of film burns

First off, get your youtube account a profile icon, and write a better description. Be more creative with the title clip. The title is totally boring.

Those are the biggies, but also think about organization of the shots. There was only one shot that was really with the music. Also, go ahead and make your shots longer. Include more skiing before and after tricks/features. Lastly, take those darker shots and lighten them up a bit, because theres a bit of a shock each time you go from cloudy to sunny.

I'm not trying to hate, see the only reason that i'm doing this is that i think your skiing has a lot of potential, particularly for edits.

I'm sorry but you should not follow this piece of advice.

Anyway, I say:

-Choose a different font for the titles

-Don't thank the viewer for watch

-Don't use the warp stabilizer or whatever you were using to stabilize some of those shots. It looks kinda funky and you can tell you're using it to make up for some of the shake.

-Song could be a bit better

The edit was definitely better than I was expecting. Skiing was pretty good (you didn't really need falls in there though.) The edit had a good pace, and it's always refreshing to see edits that don't drag on. About a minute is perfect.

I want to add that yeah, you shouldn't cut the shot off right exactly at the moment you land. But in my early editing experiences, and watching a lot of other edits, people often do that to try and cover a fall. Which is always kind of obvious.

Anyway, I think you have a lot of potential.

Never use that god awful song. Also with some of the filming try to take some sots from different angles, having the same angle can be really boring.

no no no its totally fine. Thank you so much in fact to all of you guys for this advice. That was the whole point of this forum so thanks

Hahaha I shit my pants when I heard the song. Along with the other advice try adding some better intro shots. Also maybe some effects such as slow mo etc. don't go crazy with them though.

Keep all of skier in the shot.

Don't let YouTube auto stabilize It does the opposite.

Make better title, possibly match it with music. i.e. : "(skier name here) has fuckin problems" (show a bunch of bails at start, and have song fucking problems-ASAP rocky) that's not a very good example but you get the idea.
