I think that in the ST you should be able to edit your OG post. Then you wouldn't have people pming you about something you sold a while ago. Plus if you make a mistake by accident then you can just change it without having to remake the whole thread. On other forums I'm a part of they have that and it's so awesome to have.

What do you guys think?
 
Kangbang, can't you just put a post at the end of the FS thread after everything has sold?

If you get a PM from some stupid kid asking if anything is still for sale then just ignore them, it's their own stupidity for not being able to read.
 
this is a very good idea, especially because most people do not read all the comments. it would eliminate many unnessessary PM's.
 
and mods wouldnt have to do as much, cause if I post something retarded i could just go back and delete it basically.
 
Haha maybe people are really antsy for that Edit button.

I say no to this. Preview your post if you have something important to say you don't want messed up and you're good to go.
 
for sale threads in particular though.. if you want to sell another thing you could just add it to your already made thread rather then making a new one and cluttering up the forum even more.

and if you sold something you can just delete the item rather then making a new thread and having the mods delete your old thread.

i see many benefits and no hindrance

Because then we'd miss out on things such as skiierman's faunt thread and many other classics and for that, it is worth not being able to edit.
