Edit help

So for my final project in my communications class, my partner and I are making an edit, But he is not here today and has all the footage.
The project is due friday, and we are not allowed to stay after school to work on it. Were using final cut pro in school, but I don't have a mac at home. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to start editing at home on adobe or something similar, and then bring it to school and continue on final cut pro.

you should be fine to edit it at home on adobe then bring it to school BUT after you do your editing on adobe at home you must render it as a .MOV file then bring it to school.
whatever editing you do on adobe then render will turn into a separate video.
