Hey, so im making two 10 ft by 2 ft boxes for a summer setup and i was wondering if i needed to put something on the top edges of the box to protect the edge of the 0.188 in. thick HDPE sheets?? Help is much appreciated.

.188? Your fucked, youll never be able to countersink a screw in .188...

But anyways, you do want coping to protect the edges, i used 1" PVC on the sides of my box

all you do is take a 1/2 inch drill bit and make a hole just on the surface of the hole for the screw so that the screw head sinks easily

um no, a screw head is about 1/8th inch, you'll never have enough room to successfully countersink a screw in .188

No, are you putting coping onto the box? you could try coping and screw in the edge coping, also a few screws in the middle, idk man, thats small stuff

your only option is to glue it down, thatll work.

Go to home depot and tell them you need to glue a plastic sheet onto plywood and have it stay and see what they have.

Don't listen to these fools you will get your top sheet on some how and doesn't matter about price as long as you get endless fun :)

Letting you know that you got ripped off and eventually if you were intelligent about your responses, you would ask where i bought mine and therefore i would help you get a better deal. But you chose the rather short sighted path and decided to just bash me.

i already bought my HDPE, kinda why i told you that you werent helping me by ttelling me you got a better deal... i dont care
