Edges

So I've heard of people rounding their edges of their skis what's you take on this. I ski park 60rails 40 jumps I like to ski trees on some days and ill ski all over the mountain every now and then not much. Should I keep my edges sharpened or go ahead and round them. I don't know if it matters but I ski the 11/12 thalls

rounding the edge under foot and a bit in front and behind will go a good deal of the way to prolonging edge cracks. so round em with a pocket stone NOT A FILE. you want them rounded not shaved off. when you use a file to round you take off way more edge material making them thinner and weaker.

A file works fine..just dont put mad strength into it.

So you dont fuck yourself over when you hit rails(they actually slide on them) + when your edges are dull, they wont crack on the rails as easily.

What would be the recommended type of thing to use then, would a really light sandpaper work alright??

thats going to have more the effect of polishing the edge rather than reshaping them. I would reccomend a relatively fine file or most preferably a pocket stone.
