Hi all, quick question: I recently bought new skis and the edges are quite sharp. Ive been having trouble sliding my pvc since I keep catching my edges. Whats a good way to dull them down so there really slidey and the edges dont catch?

gummy stone. thats what i use. you can get em at evogear.com and they work great and are cheap. for other references, watch 4FRNT Tech Talk Thursday, the ski tuning one. Peace.

i use a cordless drill and a dremel stone attachment its liek a round stone u can get for liek % bucks.. it does a little better then a gummy stone and you can round your edges a little better for less hang up

i just take a file to mine and they work perfect. just make under your foot a little rounded and it will work perfect.

sandpaper.rub your pole across it a couple times.or you could just keep sliding the rail and they will be dull after 10 or so hits...

the problem with this is you render your edges unfixable. by just gummy stoning them you can still sharpen them in the future if you want.

disclaimer: if you are going to use a file KNOW how to use a file a lot of people who dont completely fuck their edges by improper use of a file

haha how hard is it? work against the grain, turning the file a little more towards the bottom as you go. work in one direction too
