Edges that dont break

I know all edges are going to get messed up eventually, but which ones hold up the longest? You can assume that these skis will be taken on rails almost everyday.

depends man... its hard to say really matters how you take care of your skis, how much you weight and how agressive you are... if u fix ur edges after every day riding your edges will last a lot longer

you can't even look for a ski based on that. when you are grinding a skinny little piece of metal attached to plastic on a thick heavy piece of steel, it's gonna get fucked up. there's nothing you can do but keep 2 pairs of skis. one for riding around the other for just rails

GO FLAMES!!

Just get a separate used pair of skis for rails. I got a pair of old 1080s for $50, even though they have some cracked edges, and a compressed edge, they are perfect for rails.

I don't deny there are bad things in the US right now, hell, 51% of the country to be exact. But god damnit, our country being fat is NOT a problem. I do't give a shit how fat people are. hell, fat kids are harder to kidnap, that means our country is safer.

yeah i agree on the mad trix...i watched my friend beat the shit out of them this year and he didnt have a crack...i think it could be because they are soo stiff and not flexing makes the edges last longer, but yeah a solid ski

Hate all you want, bitches. Most of you will never know what it's like being 6 and a half feet tall with a 2 foot long penis.

AJ is right, a lot does depend on your size and how aggressive of a skier you are. I have yet to see one edge superior to any other. Line promoted those fatty edges they put on a bunch of their skis last year, but I watched those crack and separate just as bad as any other edge. Same goes for the Madtrix, they maybe be a bomber ski but don't think their edges are going to hold any better than anybody else. Armada is also claiming to have put thicker edges on their skis for next year. While I'm sure that will help, they will have to prove themselves. If you're going to take your skis and slide rails every day, just resign yourself to the fact that your skis will get trashed eventually. If you want to add some longevity i would suggest de-tuning them before you even ride them.

^"don't think their edges are going to hold any better than anybody else."

while it is true, that no ski is absolutely INVINCIBLE, the madtrix do last considerably longer than any other company, even ones like line, armada, and 4frnt that say they have bomber edges.

ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

k2 pes have good edges.... my brother has the original pe and has hit a lot of rails, and his arnt showing any kind of crack or anything.. also the atomic tweaks i have them and no cracking...had them for 2 years to.

if all you gays would do backyard setups with your good skis you wouldnt have a problem. thats what old skis are for.

Skiing in NC aint so bad

I hate it when snowboarders think they are so cool because they can 50 50 a rail

scratchs, look under the edits and stu chapman, he rides for rossignol and those skis have lasted him all year while constantly taking a beating from rails

lol, those were the skis with the rolled edges where you grinded. Its just you always missed the spot with the rolled edges. it was a good idea though

Or just become a park rat and don't worry about using your edges. The choice is yours.

using two pairs of skis just doesnt work for the most part. when i go out everyday i dont know if that day is going to be more rails or more jumps. it sucks when everyone else is hiking a rail and your just sitting there.

If you stay light on your feet, and absorb as much as possible when landing on the rail, it is not much of a problem unless you are doing 30 ft disasters, which i dont think you are anyway.

i dont think the public enemy edges are so good. i didnt hit that many rails with mine last season and i have like 4 cracks. not very impressive but kinda depends how hard you ski and how much you weigh

^thats odd, ive had mine since the first year they came out, and theyre my rail skis now. not one crack. and im 6' 185lbs, i ride pretty hard...

My sig gets fucked up if i put it in, so i just dont have one.

every skis edge is going to get messed up eventually it just takes more time with some skis and some skis last longer than others based on how you skis and how often you do rails the skis life depends on how you use them
