Edge Replacement Guide

I found this article while I was doing some Googling. Not that I'd recommend doing edge replacements yourself on most skis, if you had a pair that was strictly a rail pair and is damaged and you were handy with tools it could make a cool project. Have fun.

Have you ever seen a little kid slide back down the inrun of a kicker without going over? This is why parents shouldn't dump their kids off anywhere near the park...

thats awasome. and yeah dumbass, a good tech can take a ski that is fucked, and make it look brand new.

i tried that. doesnt do shit. its not strong enough. you would prolly just want to get some epoxy inbetween the edges, and sand off extra when you were done.

^yea that'd work better than solder, plus you wouldn't be burning your ski

i was gonna say that, but its basically the same thing as epoxy. there really wouldnt be much need to use anything else, cause if it was all consistant, it would be mutch stronger.

oooo that looks like a nice project but then again i have a hard time starting my homework. but skis cost a shit load so maybe id do that if my edge rip out. i wonder if you could fatter edges? i wonder if it would matter if a segment of the edge is beefyer that the rest of the ski.
