Edge fell off, what to do?

Im on vacation and as i was landing a jump my edge fell off of the backs of my ski. What do I do, go to dealer for warranty, only problem is its not made any more and 2 years old, Volkl Expression
 
my fujas back tip totally delammed to the core today and i have 2 6 inch edge segments gone, just get new skis dude. its time
 
ya thats been happening to me. First it was just half of the tails, now i don't have edges on the complete tail of one ski, and half of the other. the ptex on the tip popped completely out too. I work at a shop though so I'm just fixing it as it breaks. Should be able to hold out until next year to get new skis. Or at least until they start going for cheap.
 
theres no way theyd warranty it after that long...but just break off all the edge thats separated and ski them till they dont slide nemore
 
buy the following

1. slow cure epoxy

2. C clamps about one per inch of edge

3. Bastard file

4. Hammer

5. very small screws

6. various grades of sandpaper

7. razor blade

8. duct tape

9. drill and drill bits

If edge is bent out and still attached bend or bang it back into place with hammer. Cut out base along bent edge about 1/2 inch back. Use drill and bits to attach edge back to core with very small screws, also drip epoxy into holes before inserting screws. After edge is in place with 2 screws per inch; fill in remaining area of missing base with epoxy. Apply duct tape over repair area and let sit for 24 hours. After 24 hours remove tape and smooth epoxy on base with file and then the sand paper. Next finish edge by shaping with file. if desired use gummy stone to really smooth edge. go ski.
 
even if you buy new skis fix your old ones. it is a good learning thing to know, also you will then have a 2nd pair of skis for questionable conditions or for urban. If anyone is throwing away skis just because they have missing a little edge please send them to me and I will pay you a small amount for your troubles. I will then fix said skis and ride them.
 
I have never thrown away skis, I always fix them. but if someone is asking what to do w/ a broken edge, then they don't know how to fix it.
 
wow good instructions, do that. and if you aren't up to that much work then get new skis and retire the volkls to urban
