Edge Detuning

I just bought scratch ghettos and i have heard of sme of the durability issues. would you guys suggest getting my edges detuned? would this help from a possible edge crack or tearout?

If you do rails a lot your edges are gonna eventually crack no matter what you do. Personally I would detune them so you don't stick on rails the first couple times... I don't think detuning makes a difference as far as durability though.
 
My skis fucked me over so bad last year on rails beacuse the edges were mad sharp. They caught once on a kink rail, threw me off and I dislocated my shoulder, put me out for a month. I detuned them during that time and when I got back on the mountain they slid so much easier and gave me much more confidence that I wasn't gonna die again. I would definately detune them.
 
ya i detuned a little but am going to detune my park skis a lot more next year, it deffinately makes a huge difference
 
i do a little bevel on the base and then let them detune naturally, it keeps it easier to deal with if you ever want them sharp again
