Edge detune

Ok so I have some on3p kartels and I basically only do rails and is it worth it to go somewhere that can do a edge detune and pay the extra cash? I want these skis to last.

Will it make a difference?

If you are fine with spending the money than go for it and get them professionally detuned but the truth is ive always just done it myself it isnt hard at all. Maybe practice on an old pair if you have no experience doing stuff like this and don’t go too high and don’t take too much edge off. You don’t need to go crazy. If you take a file or stone to the edge at a 45 degree ish angle for a couple strokes the edge will be detuned even tho it may not look like it. Also Your skis will naturally detune more and more when you slide rails.

My last skis I filed the shit out of em it worked so imma prob the same

Another thing that can help make your skis last longer is after a day of skiing park take a gummy stone to the edges to get out any Burs or bumps.
