The thing with roids is that like any substance, if you abuse them, ie do not properly cycle them and take them in the correct amounts etc, they can be very dangerous for your health, of that there is no question. Just like booze or anything else that you abuse of, there will be negative effects, that's just common sense. On the other hand, if taken responsibly and properly, you can get the gains and none of the health risks, or so anecdotal evidence seems to show. The increased risk of heart attacks is more attributable to the increase in mass that you derive from steroid use, as your heart was to pump harder. Personally, I don't use steroids, not because I have anything against them per se, simply that they are expensive as is the very important post cycle regimen you must be on, and I have no time for taht at this point in time. Will I ever do 'em, who knows, depends how serious I am about lifting...
