Echo Mountain - A terrainpark only resort to be build!!

Yeah! The old, closed ski resort "Squaw Pass" are going to open again as a big ass terrain park. No Norwal slopes, just pure action all over the place!

The resort have around 650 vertical feet and the new owners have already put in 6 million dollars. A three seat chairlift is to be build. Music and DJ every day.

Its about an half hour cartrip from Denver....

And the plan is that its going to be done around christmas this year!

650 vertical feet? that's not all that bad for a park. My mountain has 1600vf but the park is only about 1000 of that and it's not all used, things are really spaced out.

my mtns park is about 1100 ft "long", not all used but...

seems tite to me, park only, no families with their kids that block kickers and that jump over the lips of rails just to get 1ft of air to flat ground.

uhh if that 6 mill includes the lift, cutting the trails and lodging as well all the hookups as well as land use...thats not big plans by any means. BUT, cool idea. I'll probably check er out sometime this winter.

thats sick how smaller mts are making such big news like this, just look at Mountain Creek in jersey for gods sake, tons of people know the name and its a hill in jersey!

Equipment is expensive, and i need lots of new stuff, i love being a poor college student!!!!
 
mountain creek is horrible, i waited 1 fucking hour on a lift line, no lie. its 45 minutes away from the biggest metroplis in the united states.

 
i waited for 55 minuites at copper, its a good mountain but its sooo damn crouded, its like a skiing disneyland.

 
Last I heard (May) Coker was still living in Bear.

Yeah Bear Mtn. was the first one to go completely park. There are features on every run and midseason there are usually 150+ different features including jumps, jibs, and other things you'd never imagine were jibbable.

I think its sick that other areas are catching on.

 
theres no fucking way im going there. it takes the whole feel of skiing away. im sticking to copper. it wouldnt feel right to have nothing but rails and jumps everwhere

north of denver is fort collins and wyoming, south is colorado springs ,its west of denver

how dumb is it to have only a damn park. that shit makes up so little of the ski industry, but hey if they dumped 6 mill into it already im sure the bank must be dumb enough to keep it running for another 2 or so years before they realize their loan is based on supplying punk kids with rails and jumps that they have to beg there mommies to go too in their van.
