Ebay Scam.

I believe I was scammed on eBay. I recently sold my camera body and got a message telling me that payment was on its way once I could verify shipping with a tracking number. I packaged up the camera sent it out and confirmed the tracking number on eBay. I haven't received payment, the buyers eBay account has been deleted and they aren't responding to any of my calls or texts. Am I fucked? Or has anyone on here been in a similar situation?

Dosnt ebay/PayPal have an insurance program? I'd file a complaint with them. Sucks though, my brother lost $300 on a smart phone over Craig's list, he even tested it out at the kids house. Just didn't work when he brought it home. Yea that's right it was a young boy selling the phone. He got scammed by a 10 year old.
 
Have you sold a lot of items on eBay before? When you say you haven't received payment, do you mean in your PayPal account? Did eBay show that the buyer had paid before you shipped? With new sellers, it can take up to two plus weeks for your money to finally arrive in your PayPal account. eBay suggests providing with them with a tracking number so that you can get your money quicker. So if you are a new seller, and eBay shows that the buyer has paid then you should be getting your money eventually. If not, I'm not sure what the next steps would be but good luck.
 
You can try to contact local police of the shipping address. Probably won't do anything but might put that address on their radar.
