Ebay legit item to buy?

ok so I recently tried buying a camera off a website and it was a little too good to be true, real cheap, I bought it anyway then was told thankfully by Skiierman to check resellerratings.com (website with customer reviews of the store) to see if it was a legit site... it wasnt and I promptly cancelled my credit card, no harm done...

I'm now looking at bidding on a camera on ebay, being sold by Henry's.com a camera website that sells much of their stuff on ebay. I checked resellerratings.com and there were all good reviews except for one which said they thought they were being scammed because their credit card didnt go through. also a lot of reviews from like 5 years ago all had a lot of bad comments, but all the reviews from the last year and a half or so were good. also the ebay reviews were all excellent and they have great ebay feedback (99.5), but i wasnt sure how legit ebay feedback was.

if anyone that knows what they are talking about could give me some advice or shed some light, it would be much appreciated. but please dont recommend things if you dont know what you're talking about because I really dont wanna loose a grand, but you're all i've got to base my decisions off of ns...thanks

Well if you're spending a grand don't totally rely on my advice, but in my experience Ebay ratings are a good indicator of quality, as long as there is more than about ten. Ebay is very legit, and I'm pretty sure they have some Scam protection where you get your money back.
 
henrys is a legit store, but there are tonnes of them around, so just find an actual location and get them to send it there.
 
well, you should post a link. A lot of things on ebay have catches, like not the U.S. model, no warrenty, etc... also, many times they make you buy extra stuff or a warranty. Me and my friend both got HVX's off an ebay store, but we had to talk to them for ever because they basically were making us buy a 1000 dollar warranty.
 
you should be alright, just maybe emaili them first to make sure you have all the info, and have any questions answered before you drop 1200 into it.
 
i dont use ebay, but, it seems like since they have been around for so long there must be some sort of policy stuff that voids people from being scamers and stuff, and that people wouldnt get away with it
 
definilty legit... make sure you read the entire description to make sure everything you want is included in the listing
 
Hey I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that gave me advice, I got my camera, it works and its exactly what i wanted, amazing quality. very excited.
