Just wondering to all the other people that ski multiple days a week every week how do you eat with out going broke? What I do:-buy Cop o Noodle in bulk-fill up a water bottle-throw in an apple/orange or what ever we have-Cliff bar or nature valley barand call that lunch, but im getting tired of it. what do you do to eat for cheap?

free drink: get a cup from a table. clean it at a fountain. walk into the cafeteria and get yoself a free refill.
free food: take said cup and put as much frenchfries and chicken as you can inside. slap a lid on that bitch, take it like a free refill.
ski bum nachos: 20 packets of saltines, free nacho cheese/salsa/peppers/ect

acquire buns

cut buns in half

place ridiculous amounts of meat in buns

squirt mustard and mayo all over that shit

place buns in bag

place bag in pocket

forget about buns until youre starving and think 'OH YEAHHHHHH POCKET LUNCH YO'

chow down on chairlift

successssssss

find someones half eaten food, put a hair in it, take it to the cahier and say there is a hair in my food and i would like another one. profit.
However I don't do this anymore because I am staff and get 40% off.

i recommend this solution. hack darts till you're not hungry anymore. when i have no cash this works for me.

cheap sandwiches from home always works. i live with my parents, so i dont have to pay for the bread and stuff, but you can get a loaf of bread, and some cheap coldcuts for about $5, and that can make a few sandwiches. other than that, drink water. the 24 packs are like $3 at a store, or just get water cups

I have def. eaten saltines and ketchup before when really desperate.

Usually I just ski all day without food. Its just 7 hours max, its not that bad, and the adrenaline keeps down the appetite.

I usually pack a pbj and an powder bar if it's a good day.

Interesting tid bit: my dad was one of the people who started powerbars back in the day./claim

-Go to deli at supermarket

-Buy roast beef, pastrami, cheese, bread

-Eat sandwiches on hill

-??????

-Profit?

But seriously, just pack a lunch.

Have you ever heard of contagious deseases like Meningitis?! I had it, it's nasty shit. And that's how it's spread.

But seriously, my method is...:

Big sleaves + Chocolate bars/Red Bull.etc + Good acting = PROFIT.

Or dopesauce.

It's just their fault for having no security and over-priced food, I guess.

I've gotten into the habbit of preparing 2 really really great meals and freezing everything in ziplock bags. Get the kind you can microwave and you can keep the bag in a larger pocket thats on the outside of your gear. If you fall on it, it may hurt a tad, just make sure it freezes flat.
Then go into any of the lodges in the base and ask them to throw it in the microwave for 6 minutes. bust out your plastic fork and enjoy deliciousness.
Last week I had chicken pineapple enchiladas or chicken pene pasta as my 2 options. I ended up with 9 bags of frozen food. Twas a good week and it cost me around $15 to make that much.

i make a sandwich, but instead of using bread I use a bagel because the bread is a little more firm, ie it's not smashed to all hell by the time I'm ready to eat it.
A ham and cheese sandwich on a bagel isn't really breaking the bank....but buying a lot of different kinds of lunch meat can get expensive. I get sick of eating the same sandwich 4 times a week, week after week.

Balls Tuna Crack
2 cans of tuna, container with desired amount of balsamic dressing, and crackers... drain tuna, add to container mix and scarf.
i typically pair that with a sandwich and good to go.

MEAT STORE OF THE NORTH IN WARRENSBURG HAS $5 FOR 10 OF THE BEST SANDWICH ROLLS! AND ANOTHER $5 FOR A GOOD AMOUNT OF HAM! SO... 10 SAMICHES FOR $10 WHICH IS $1 FOR EACH SAMICH. OMGZZZZ

one of my friends took somebody's plate of half eaten poutine off the table, took it back and said there was too much gravy on it so they gave him a free one.

Get to know the cashiers really well. I know mine at my ski hill and they will either give me the employee discount or give it to me free depending on who is around. At most i have to spend $4 for either a huge burger with pepper jack, bacon, green chile, or $3.50 for a giant breakfast burrito. But you can't ask for the discount. You just gotta get to know them and the discounts will eventually come.

My mountain = shitty park, groom everyday even after tons of new snow, 5 dollar piece of shit chicken sandwich/ hamburger/ french fries/ and almost everything else and then drinks are 4 dollars for like 21 ounces. FFFFFUUUUUUUUU

on ski club nights theres always those kids who parents gave them $40 for food, they buiy like fried dough and chicken nuggest and onion rings and shit and eat like two fingers and a curly fry. walk up and ask "are you gonna eat that?" they say no and you proceed to eat it. these two girls gave me two fried doughs the other day and one was totally untouched, the other like half gone. boom.

also im a dishwasher so i just walk behind the counter and cook myself whatever i want, depending on whos working.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
but for me its just a shi tton of cliff bars. that shit keeps me going for at least 6-7 hours of skiing.
