i mean its nice seeing some variety, its refreshing to see something filmed with a vx instead of a gh5 or a7s ii like everything else in skiing right now. Pretty sure HG, Vishnu and sometimes hoodcrew are the only "big" crews using vx/SD camcorders.

Trends will be trends.

Honestly don't understand the hate towards skate influence on our sport. Id argue that well over 50% of all ski trends have been copied from skateboarding (or snowboarding who also copies skateboarding a good bit).

I'm good player. I get plenty of hugs from my wife. Don't mistake opinions for unhapiness.
 
I think the flick looks awesome, critiques of the aesthetic aside.

I sort of feel like it's a can't win situation though. Like, I get there's some backlash/fatigue towards the "ultra core lofi grimey" aesthetic that's pretty prevalent but we aren't very far removed from everyone getting tired of "ultra hd, slow mo, glide cam, time lapse, everything is a major motion picture" either.

At the end of the day for me it comes down to the skiing, the soundtrack, the flow, and the quantity/quality of the b-roll and filler. The trailer to me looks incredible from a skiing standpoint, so I'm fucking pumped for it. Even if it does look like a death wish or shake junt flick.

On a tangent, im stoked on the revival of "team" movies. This and the faction flick look incredible. I miss when Ostness made that Atomic movie years ago.
