okay so

sin(cos(x)

take derivative of sin which is cos

so

cos(cos(x))

and thats where i don't know what to do next

Can people please stop making threads every time they don't feel like figuring out how to do a simple calc problem?

you take the derivative of the inside function and multiply it by the entire thing so whatever the derivative of cos is -sin? i think. so you would have -sin(cos)(cos(x)) or something like that.

can people please stop saying stuff like this so that they feel good about themselves

as simple as it may or may not be, the kids asking for help so lets help him

if its easy, give it a shot. i personally dont know...im expecting a 1 on the AP test this year

chain rule: d/dx (f(g(x)) = f'(g(x))*g'(x)

i forgot the question though im assuming is sin(cos(x))

cos(cos(x))*-sin(x)

No. It's absolutely ridiculous. I can guarantee you if the thread creator spent more than a minute studying he would have come up with the answer.

if you would have not cared so much you would have another minute to do something else other than argue a retarded point.

dude dont be a douche. weve all been there at somepoint and just seeing trig at the level is a bitch. either help him out or dont post. if you havent noticed peoples responses they are telling him how to do it so hes gonna learn it one way or another. maybe his book could be hard to understand

word. as mentioned before calc is by no means "easy" and only a portion of kids in HS even attempt it. This is my second year of calc and i dont remember how to do it either

calc is heinous

like your anus
