Yep, you all fuckin suck, well the majority do. I just got back from whistler and you are all amazing in the park, but hey thats only one run of the whole mountain. We went and skied some lines with Seth Morrison and all the westerners bombed the hill, while these shitty as eastern skiers pissed there pants from the top. unbelievable. I don't know about you, but I would rather be well rounded then a fuckin park pussy. And no westerners do not take their mountains for granted. I ski every fuckin powder day when I can get out. And to people that say our mountain after the big pow has been skied off are just rocky faces. Thats for the tourists to ski. You live out here you have your secrets. Every time I got to lake louise, Sunshine, Golden, Panorama, I know the spots to go to. I Can ski powder every day if I want. Ha Ha you park pussys.

 
ok, whatever you say. most easteners take advantage of every powder opertunity they can get. i know i do. we just ski the park when its not a good powder day. i've never skied in the west, but remember your first tough line you've ever skied in the west, were you scared. well for those easteners it was probally their first really tough line they've ever skied in the west. the reason we're not as good big mountain skiers as the west is because we dont have the oppurtunity.

 
okay i went out to whistler and i have to say teh kickers and everything where amazing... i ski at sugarloaf in maine so we dont get many powder days.. soi am out till the lifts close.. that all we have........

you are incorrect in thinking that Eastern skiiers are not well rounded because we're good in the park. The East has some of the toughest terrain you coulsd ask for. We have to be very adaptable to the conditions that get thrown at us...bullet proof ice just to mention one. the conditions are constantly changing. I can think of few other things as fun as straight lining a skating rink pitch...and watch all the out of staters do butt slides to the bottom.

Furthermore, I do not think it makes a well rounded skiier to ski out West in nothing but powder and groomed all the time. I would also like to mention that many of the best big mountain skiiers grew up and learned how to ski in the East. Chris Davenport, Megan and Kristin Brown to name a few. Also do you think it's a coincidence that Vermont has the best snowboarders in the world? Kelly Clark the womans half pipe gold medalist is from my home Mnt. Mount Snow. Ross Powers the mens half pipe gold medalist isf from nearby Stratton mountain. Do you think they got that good by riding poweder all the time? I think not. The reason the did so well is that they are used to all sorts of conditions and were very adaptable. They know icy pipes and steep transitions.

Anyway, We are well rounded and we love skiing just as much as you do. So why pick on us?

yeah maybe you will realize we dont get to ski big lines and jump cliffs everyday considering i live in NJ, so we have no experiance, so comparing us to people like seth morrison and people who live out west and do it everyday is bullshit. shut the fuck up

Even though westerners dont get more than 2 inches of powder doesnt meen ya hafda rag on them they're just not as privliged as us western ski gods. i'm from one of the worst parts of the east (NJ) and i went to whistler 4 spring break and ripped the whole place up no problem. most of my friends who ski/snowboard decently can rip it up too. You cant judge the whole east on a few people you skied w/ out west. as for parks here, they're just fine here but we dont have the luxury of this thing caLLED soft snow that you lucky ass westerners have for landings, so its harder to learn new stuff if you're cracking your ass on hard landings. i regret that i live here, but you can't judge us eaesterners (and midwesterners) that harshly. screw you

why be ignorant and say things just to get attention and start trouble? I've skied all over the fuckin place and everywhere has different values.....concentrate on the good shit while your there, and don't rag on people just cuz they're not as lucky as you. Also, generalizing an entire side of the country's ski skills upon your biased perception of a handfull of riders who SAY they are from the east on a single run is also pretty dumb, thats how racism starts bro

whoever said ice is fun....is wrong...it might be ok with regular skis...but with twins their not good. its pretty bad on my enemies...but you should see my friend with lines when he skis on ice.

and the east produces some sick skiers. there are a lot of pros out their from the east that not a lot of peopel know about.

 
Why were the kids from the east bad at skiing big mt. if they could afford to go to whistler??? if they went the whole way to b.c, im sure a lot of them have been out west w/ their families a bunch of times

 
My experience has been that skiiers at smaller hills are just as technically good skiiers. At a small hill in the east or midwest you have a vertical of like 300 feet. Now this doesn't add for a whole lot of versatility in an individual run, but it makes for very short laptime. The ice and varying conditions really helps an individual learn edge control. Me and my buddies have never had problems skiing tough lines or steeps out west. The only thing we lack are powder skiing skills. If you are already technically sound you can get a good feel for it in a couple days, and after a week you're pretty good. I learned to ski pow pretty efficiently at A Basin this year (god I love that place). Basically the only thing I see easterners and midwesterners are weak on are powder skills.

haha believe it or not the people from ontario don't have sick enough hills to be called easterners. I'd say we're a lot like the midwestern skiers. the average ski hill is about 400 ft. the highest is blue mountain, 700ft. which is out like 2-3 hours away from most people. (people from toronto)

I know some kids actually pay for themselves to go out there so no offense to you.

Too bad most everyone out there whose ass you are licking used to ski on the east coast. If you think skiing a huge open bowl or you thin ass glades is bad ass...come out here where the trees are 2 feet apart and you landing zone on a drop is almost non existant.

Learning on the east coast makes you a better skier...

Personally, when I went to Whistler I found that the skiing was 10x easier because the conditions were better. I was skiing better because I was used to skiing SHIT.
