Friday was rockin.

Thursday there was some dope tree skiing... and I found a stash with 2 feet of blown in which I milked all afternoon long.

Of course the winds were only around 75km/h (Jersey Cream Lift) when it opened up... but it was still pretty harsh.

The west coast truly is the best coast

well obviously i would move out west if i had the chance, i wouldnt even think twice about it, im just saying i think west coasters should give a little more respect to us east coast skiers and midwest skiers. Nobody is saying hte east is better skiing than the west

Wasnt the mountain closed on thursday cause of the wind? Anyways I have seen people do some nutty stuff on icy tables. Its fun. Dont think ur hard though cause there is some insane shit to ski out west that will make you crap ur pants. Do you know how cold it gets in Quebec. You cant ski all the time in that cold. It sucks so the west is better for that reason alone.

 
3 friends and I skied at Smugglers notch in VT our whole lives then moved out west. We're some of the best ones here. The east coast makes such a better skier.

 
It doesn't matter if you're east or west. A real skier can adapt to any terrain. As far as the mountains go you'll never know what the east has to offer unless you earn your turns. There's plenty of backcountry in NY, VT, and NH with sick lines and steep vert. If you want snow go to Jay Peak they have plenty of it. More than some western resorts. The biggest reasons to go out west is for the length of the season and the amount of land that is easily reached by lift and a short hike.

i dont really think there is a better coast. THere totally two differnt places that contribute differnt aspects to the sport of skiing. West has bigger mountains and better snow. but the east makes a more well rounded skier. either way i look at it, its all good. at least we have a place to ski

fuckin hell some of you guys make west coasters sound like we ski like shit, i learned to ski *well it was basically ice skating* on the east, and its fucking gay, also anyone can ski on ice, but no everyone can ski powder, its a lot harder to ski 3 feet of powder then bullet proof ice, god you guys are so fucking retarted about some shit, i've ski'd both, and i see no reason for sticking up for the east coast *i can see stickin up for you home mountain cuz everyone has home mountain pride* but theres NO reason to be proud of the east coast and say that west coasters cant ski, cuz they flat out made me a fool my first day in utah.

i'm not insulting west coasters, i'm just saying that it's a lot harder to get good on the east coast with no fluffy powder to land in, east coast deserves more respect than some give it

well its not all fluffy powder landings, talk to 123ski he rides park city, and i know he got hurt a couple times this year pretty bad, pretty much anywhere you go a PARK is gonna be pretty icy, unless it snowed like the night before.

So you think you could ski a 50º slope on shiny ice?? And drop 40 footers onto ice?? Powder is so much more forgiving than ice.
