EAst vs. West, agian

im way to lazy to read this, but even though im from the east and have pleanty of pride, i cant pretend that the east is better i will agree though that its harder to work your way to the top of the ski scene up here because tghe conditions are much worse

I'm from the East. I ski a mountain with about as much vertical as I found out west and it's icy.... I was at copper at what the locals called an 'icy' day. Yeah, bull shit. It was some hardpack... nothing wrong with hardpack. Anyways, after you people bashing the east have upset me, I decided to cancel my trip to Summit County...

Not! I love the snow. See you in the west bitches... Jan 8

west coast skiers may be able to dodge obstructions while skiing down a narrow chute but east coast skiers can fly down an icy, narrow trail with 100's of moving obstacles. i'm talking about all of the crazy ass beginners and tourists that we get packed onto to one trail. it takes true skill to manuever through that shit. guys in the west think a crowded day is when they have more than 3 people on a trail.

^i guess you've never seen colorado, thats why i didnt like it their, it seems the east coast isnt as chill every one is up tight and no one is friendly and its icy just a bad combo. west is chilled out all ways nice esspecially at pc and alta, sometimes the begginner snowboarders are jerks because they think they are hardcore just because they ski at park city.

Sick skiers are not a result of the terrain they ski on. They are a result of their skills and their desire to get better. As far as which is better its pretty obvious the better skiing is out west. But the east is sick too. I mean the west is far bigger and there are alot more resorts. But when you look at some of the resorts in vermont, canada, nh, and maine, many of them can come close to match, and even beat west coast resorts in vertical feet. And resorts like stowe and killy average just as much snow as most western resorts (cept alta altas the shit) And if you know where to look for it you can find sick skiing in the east. The summit up at stowe has some of the sickest lines ever and its all untouched pow cuz no1 goes up there. And mount washingtons tuckerman ravine is huge and just amazing. no the east cannot match the wests snow quality, or the amount of backcountry. But its not the steriotype that you label it as either, its not all iced over hills jam packed with manhattanites. The east is sick too give it a chance

I like the east in and the west..Two totally different types of skiing...East coast has the tight trees and hardpack snow and the west has nice open bowls and soft snow...

you dont have to live in the west to be able to rip down a pow line. For some people who have been skiing all their lives and who ski in the east its just natural.

TRY EVERYTHING EVEN IF IT MEANS KICKING YOUR OWN ASS

west coast skiing is way better but skiing east coast is much harder. AKA east coasters go out west and they rip shit up cause they are used to bad conditions. And skiing real steep deep powder is not hard. I skied 2 feet of fresh at the B/C pass near winterpark where the road winds I was 6 foot last year I had 170 atomic racing skis with a 45mm underfoot. I ripped the powder and steeps up any east coaster could do the same especially with real skis like msp's. west coast skiing is better, east coast skiers ski on more difficult conditions so when they get out to go conditions they are even better.
