East portal, Moffat tunnel

I was blabbing with some ski coach I met on the lift about how you could possibly tour from Eldora to Winter park. He told me about this train tunnel (Moffat tunnel) that went under the continental divide, and that apparently only the ski train goes through it on scheduled intervals. Apparently (emphasis on apparently) there were some dudes who hiked through it at night and made it to the other side. Is this dude yapping nonsense or is this actually possible?

the first time i drove by a "portal" in colorado, i almost locked up the brakes... and to answer your question in one shot, No.

^thats a facebook video of the door on the east? side... it seals shut for ventilation fan and ducting because of the engine exhaust the environment is highly polluted, im not so sure you could walk through it , without ventilation equipment.

i did a whole bunch of research because of your quiery. the moffat train and crew is equipped with scuba gear and training for emergency purposes.

in colorado, its common knowledge to not hop trains, or try to ride thru coal tunnels because so many escapees have expired trying...

Pretty sure that tunnel is like one of the longest in the world. Not gonna be having a fun time if a train comes brother

sounds sick as fuuck if you could make it work tho

i lived near the tracks in fraser so everything that passed me went through that tunnel and it is significantly more traffic than the ski train. one night i was woken up by 7 different trains and the trains at night is literally the reason why i moved put of that place. unsure how wide the tunnel is but i think it 6 miles long. so to me, it sounds like a 100% bad idea. the amtrak zephyr runs from chicago to san fransico and goes through there and sometimes it delayed over a day so i wouldn’t trust any ‘scheduled’ times

i think you’d have an even harder time because youd be drowning in pussy

on the flip side, you could lean a shoulder back and afterbang for 6 miles. that alone might warrant an attempt
