EAST COAST?

I don't know why all these East Coast skiers can be proud to 'represent' the East Coast. No park, pipe, steeps, cliffs or anyhting else from the East Coast will ever compare or should be compared to the West. The West has everything.

you ignorant s.o.b. of course we have parks, and they do compare.

Once upon a time there was a planet, whizzing along through the most vast and empty corner of space. It was a blue planet, because of it\'s abundance of water. From the water evolved the most amazing food chain in the universe, cropped full of species with incredible intelligence. Most notable of these species were the dolphins and the humans. Both loved to play in the blue water of the magic planet. Then like clockwork the planet would tilt into a particular angle, and the water would cool and recycle itself...as snow, a substance the humans loved to play in. -Greg Stump

hey man maybe you should pull your head out of ure ass and realize a good percent of the pros in the ski industry are from the east cost. so maybe you should shut the fuck up and go suck on your mothers twat some more you peice of shit anal cunt.

i always think i'm east. then realize i'm midewest.

any fate questions or orders, let me know.

its all about Jay peaks 488 inches 2 years ago 350+ last year, sunday river has a crazy park as well as tremblant. yeah bandit i hope you come here and ski a double black that is all ice and you eat shit hit a tree and die........

Fight the Man

dude i grew up on the east coast and i bet im a better skier than you will ever be...after skiing these conditions you can ski anything...it sucks when you are babied with perfect conditions your whole life cause then that is all you can ski...you wouldn't last a day out here!

oh man lets argue about who is a better fucking skier online....oh oh i have a rossi sponcership so does this mean you dont compare...no get a fuckin life

Fight the Man

I grew up skiing afton alps in Minnesota so don't talk to me like I've been babied with 400+ inches a year and never been in your conditions. THERE IS NO POWDER IN MINNESOTA, EVER. And wherever you go there will be good skiers. The place you ski at doesn't make you a good or bad, hardcore or baby skier. All I'm saying is that THE EAST COAST IS SHIT COMPARED TO THE WEST. Ask yourself this, where would you rather be: Whistler or Stratton (any other east 'resort' for that matter.)

wow, this thread is even more worthless than some of my threads, that, my friend, is an achievement.

THE SPRINKLER: get butt naked and then do a 1260 while taking a piss, i expect this trick to win many comps this coming season.

Just because the terrain out east isn't as extensive as the terrain out west doesn't mean that all east coast skiers are shit skiers.

Why does everyone where hoodies to ski during spring when the weather is sunny and there is no need for a hood??

all the coasts are the shit, and stop posting this shit, but I represent the EAST word to all my brotherS!

-i just farted, can you smell it?-

i will agree that west is alot better. there are mountains that can compare for sure. Jay peak, sick ridge at the top, amazing trees, backcountry, and 571 inches of snow fall. that surpasses almost every colarodo resort, not to mention a number of others. stowe also has some of the sickest terrain. or, you could go to mt washington, i am sure most of that area compares.

most of the 'riders' on the east are parkrats, so the mountains must cater to their needs.so our parks also compare. stowe and sundayriver to name some. no more of your east coast babble, we all know the west is better, but the east can compare with your heavy snowfalls aand treeless mountain tops.

stuhalverson here knows what it is all about out here, 571 inches ANYWHERE else in the country? i doubt it. the skiing out here is completely different from anywhere else, and yes, the vertical doesn't compare but so what it is skiing and snow and fun. Jay Peak has the best glades in north america by far. i know, i ski it all the time. the snow, cannot be matched. the skiers themselves, all future stars like bode miller, JF Cusson grew up skiing the east coast of canada. out here is real skiing. I saw a thing in Powder , a picture of some guy skiing deep pow out west, then some guy in the woods out east, going off a cliff. The quote underneath was 'To float is heavenly... but to carve a turn off an icefall land in six inches of snow and ski safely away is divine.' rings so true.

man i am from the east coast of canada and i will admit there are some better places on the west than the east but the east has some sweet shite out there too! stop bitching over which coast is better and just facking ski where ever you want! this was a waste of a thread..... i got an idea... how about you go to your doctor and get him to prescribe you some chill pills and then when you think you aren't so bitchy come back and try doing better threads!

the west might have a fuck load of powder and bigger mountain but EAST COASTERS can pretty much ski all kinds of conditions coz we have to put up wit some damn shitty ones... so fuck you bandit...

Sure i would rather ski out west but i dont care if we dont have powder. If you had an icy day out west, you would just sit in the lodge all day. Hard pack is normal here.

i want to take a jib trip to n.y.c., i think that would set the standard on how some skiing should be, that's cause i'm a skateboarder and think urban rails are where it's at. Anyone else agree?

'what the fuck are fries and gravy?'

im not gonna talk mad shit cause i know the majority of the people on this site are easterners but i bet if you moved out to the west for a year you would not want to go back. And when i was at whistler there were kids from the east who could throw switch rodeo 7s over tables but ended up walking down with a load of shit in there pants when we went to take a big mountain run off the mountain on the side of high north, and it wasnt real crazy and the conditions were perfect. but skiing is sking and i will ski wherever and whenever I can, even if it is throung a small bulletproof park

whoever said the glades in the east compare with those in the west is very very wrong. i ski in maine, not by choice but thats where i live..but ive traveled many times to the west...much more snow, much better glades, much better parks..but that's not to say the east doesnt have solid parks. but they in no way compare. they just don't.

you have obviously never skied jay peak or mad river glen or magic (yeah they have some steep scary ass shit) if you think that east coast glades cannot compare

your all just a bunch of hippie freaks living in denial!

there is no argument on east vs west. the west kicks the midwest's and ice coast's any day of the week. longer seasons (do you guys have seasons from oct to august? didnt think so), more powder, more terrain, better weather, better managment (not as many people here have their heads up there asses and realize that you do need insane parks to have a good mtn), better parks, better pipes, better scenery (whats with all those trash hills at the foot of cities) and better attitude and altitude. im sure i left somethin else out but fuck it

'I probably sound like a rambaling dork on the blunt commentary track. there use that or I'll fucking kill you fucking guy' -Jibtech

yeah, you cant reshape a big piece of ice with anyting so how can the parks compare to ours that get groomed and shaped everyday if not twice a day?

yeah, emilie... and whoever else said things about the conditions. as awesome as it is to have unconditional snow out west, i think it is definetly a good experience to ski out here in the east. like, as awful as the conditions are sometimes, we all learn to ski much more in control, and respect one antoher, not that many people are thinking about it nowdays, but i do think we respect each other a lot more than it seems like people on the mountains out west do. out west, its all about whos the best, whos the fastest, who can pull the best shit... here, people think they're the shit, whether they suck or not, and you know what, let them think it, if it keeps them in the sport. everybody is always talking about posers, but the posers are the people who only go out in 60 degree weather, when its snowed the night before... as stupid as that sounds, i think thats really what this poser thing is all about. i went to do something else and i totally lost my train of thought... so im done, unless i remember what it is. :)

yeah no shit god damn west coasters of course you have more snow, but the east is still a sick place, but of couse i would take Whistler over Jay Peak...why brag yo??

Fight the Man

i would take whistler over jay as well, but why do that when you have to pay 5 times as much just to ski whistler?

yaaaaaaa girly girl,

way to represent the east. but heres what i don't get, why is this even such an issue? why does it matter where i ski and where you ski? why do you feel like you need to brag about the skiing you do? people put threads up like this all the time, and here's all i hafta say, it doesn't matter where the fuck you are, as long as your on the hill. I've been lucky enough to ski mountain liek Alta, Squaw, and Whistler, i've also skied my fair share of days at Bradford (its 20 minutes from my house and has 110 feet of KILLER vert) but thats teh way it is. Your gonna ski where you live, which is a choice your PARENTS made for you. So don't try to cause trouble, don't try to 'be cool' and impress otehr people, just try to realize that its the actual act of skiing that matters, not where yoru at.

Don't worry 'bout a thing because your path is true, just ease your mind have a bananna or two
