East coast steeze v. West coast steeze

How about this.....new school skiing was pretty much invented in the east, as well as the modern ski style we see now. Swtich ups, rails.....skiing switch, modern grabs.....all inovated by the east coast ( mostly by french men with bellys full of poutine). JP Auclair: modern style Vinny D: Swtich skiing JF Cusson: rail style. The new canadian air force was made up of mostly east coasters.

rory bushfild.. im pretty sure hes a canadian, and east coast for that matter...

yeah and the other thing.../ we got the kron out here

style is a completely personal thing. just because i live on the east coast doesnt mean i stand stright up and act like i'm too lazy to move on rails. i'm kinda sick of the "im not really trying" look. if its that easy for you, do a 360 sw up or somethin.

how do east and west skiers differ in jumping styles though?

different terrain creates different styles

but i like west coasters a lil more. but t-rains is pretty sick and liam downey

OK. the west coast gets more snow so we have powder skiers. our resorts close early cause their retarded so we got hikers. east coast does rails but so does west coast. west beats east by a lot. we also have hotter women. :)

All i know is that east coast mtns dont measure up to shit compared to west coast mtns. Im not talking about terrain parks either. Im talking about thinks like vertical, snow quality, which is where it really matters.

why make these threads? nothing that anyone said for argueing a side is accurate. west coasters do more presses? thats rediculous, prolly one of the most retarded things ive heard. there is no west coast east coast steeze. its all the individual because thats what it is-an individual sport. its not like soccer where theres a difference between countires in playing style

the east coast tends to bread alot more good park skiers. i was just riding up the lift with a kid the other day out west who commented that east coast puts out alot of good skiers...

not saying that the west coast doesnt, but i think the east coasters def have it going

east caost we gto sketchy parks and hills and shit.... so we got more style cause we can deal with our ghetto shit out here

yoou ever seen strike three? the urban in that movie is on level with a lot of shit people still do, level 1 still does and always will slay

here's the basics: Eric Pollard, Pep Fujas, Andy Mahre, Tanner Hall, CR Johnson, Mike Douglas, Mark Abma, Steele Spence, Peter Michael and Meg Olenick, Zach Davidson (who kills rails as hard as any EC kid), TJ Schiller, Josh Bibby, Eric Hjorleifson, Rory Bushfield, Chris Benchetler, Justin Dorey, Derek Spong, Sage, Michelle Parker, Sarah Burke, Skogen, Dash Longe, Sammy Carlson, McConkey, Seth, i can keep going...

very very true

the worst things about the east coast(or ontario) are the bombholes which form in the landings and then turn to ice, they have almost ended my season three times.

well i have skied on both coasts and i would say, without a doubt, that the west coast is just more chill.

east coast style is more technical. alot more switchups and pretzels and stuff. kids dont worry as much looking good while they ski. kids are also much worse skiers.

west coast skiers are more like "power" skiers. they are always having fun, and worry more about just being stoked that landing whatever trick they are working on. kids take laps and hit multiple features per run. they are much better skiers, and kill it on jumps and pipe. they also have the chill west coast attitude. i think their attitude shows in their skiing

the east coast is where its at, besides where else can you ski fucking trees that arn't wide enough to drive through, also never mind how much more talent you need, out west you have cliff run outs that are longer than run ways, in the east you have to drop shit into the trees, THE EAST KILLS IT HANDS DOWN

yeah... to the motherfucker who said east coast made nite skiing... come to skibowl.... thats nite skiing.. but fior reel hood.. can get icy as all hell.. like you guys in vermont with your blue ice.. i know that our snow is wetter which makes it harder to ski in the powder which makes your body stronger but your skiing way more controled.. id say. that east coasters got there park. and shit cause that perfact all the time... perfact ice that is.. i ski every condition you could imagne.... and i travel.. my home mtn.. is flat.. i wont deny that shit. but i go to places that are steep and get my shit on.. at least in the n-dub eveyone can ski every thing.. i know that parks my weekness but i look at the mtn as a whole terrain park... who cares about rails when theres a natty 30 foot step up that you can huck up... or drop a cliff into pow at 8.30 at nite... really.. i think that the west coast has its diversity and it realy helps skiiers and snowboarders alike. but for reel. midwest has it the hardest...
