monday and tuesday there is suppose to be a huge storm depending on the track....it can either go up the coast causing a mix on the very coast then alot of snwo inland as far as middle of new york or what htey think will happen is it will travel inland a lil more and cause rain for the very coast and hit the appalachians,western ny up through the adirondacs with over a foot. they still dont know how much but if it all goes well they said it could be one of those 10-30 in blizzard across all of the east

Haha, Bristol. I grew up skiing at Bristol. but that's cool, I'm coming home next week and I want to see how much it's changed. Last time I was there, they had the park up next to Galaxy, someone told me they changed it.

its to early to make any respectable calls on the storm, bristolrider up by u is pretty much guarenteed a dumping, but where the rain snow line is, adn the final track is still uncertain, its supposed to go off shore around 100-300 miles soouth of new jersey (where i live)My forecast is calling for rain/snow mixing in and changing between the two, but it all depends on where it goes offshore and how far offshore it gets. Its going to be a nor'easter which are a bitch to predict so they wont be really sure of anything until tomorrow night. If you want updates, go to noaa.com not weather.com. Noaa is the national oceanic and atmospheric administration. Basically theyre the weather uninfluenced by sponsors or any other factors, and they use much better/ more reliable models

if its a nor'easter you will def still get snow, it goes off the coast and reintensifies, feeding off the gulf stream, and then the precipitation is forced inland due to the circulation and it has nowhere else to go due to high preassure offshore (the greenland high) You wont see the 2 feet that some people are saying, but you will definately get some considerable snow

all the other storms taht have been in the ocean liek the one earlier this seasoon dropping liek 2 feet in boston....i got lesss than an inch. this storm better go inland

yea i was up at stowe when the mid atlantic got that huge dumping, and stowe didnt see any of it, that was a different kind of storm though, you should def see some snow comin outta this...nj has been sick this winter though, i got 6 inches thursday and 4 inches sunday, its nuts. Ill post up a link of whats goin down tomorrow

alright heres the deal, as of now (noon). The storm does indeed look like it will be a classic nor'easter. Its gonna do the same thing as the presidents day storm of 2003. By that i mean two low preassure systems, one from up near northern minnesota and one comin outta south texas, are going to collide. The one comin outta texas, will carry with it most of the moisture, and will take a track that brings it offshore near the delmarva area, far enough south to ensure a big snow event for everywhere north of Philadelphia. The low preassure from up near minnesota will come through and reenforce the cold air needed for a snow storm and prevent the other low preassure system from inserting warmer air into the region thus creating rain. The exact path of the storm is still very uncertain and will remain that way until late tonight, when NOAA will issue another statement predicting what they believe the storm will do, for that reason, all of this info is subject to change, drastically.

Bristol Rider, if you live near bristol mountain, you can definately expect some snow out of this. A solid 4-6 inches is probable and an increase in that ammount is possible. As for anyone living in the tri-state area. Expect around 8-12 inches of snow probably even more with everyone north of phili getting significant snow.
