east coast snow shortage

Its now 1/3 of the way through january, and its official, most of the east coast is in a major snow shortage. Up north anywhere above central vt. is doin alright, but even there the snow is getting scarce, and for a hwile last week the snow line retreated back into canada, its back now thanx to the recent storm, its likely to hit 50 on friday in burlington and the snow line is going to head north yet again. And things are even worse down south. Poconos resorts, and resorts like mountain creek in new jersey have yet to see a good storm this year. I know mountain creek got 5 inches in a recent storm, but it then rained on top of that. And everytime these resorts make enough snow to ski on it rains. We need snow now this sucks

yes, this is one of the worst winters i can remember, at creek there are only 6 fuckin rails up, out of thier 40, this is rediculous

yea, thats what im talking bout, im lucky, ive skied 15 days out west so far this year, and i skied stowe pre xmas before they got rianed on so that was sick, but creek just cant get running, they blow snow like crazy but it just gets rained on, they cant get their rails up cuz they can hardly get their trails up, this week is gonna be fucking balmy, but friday the bottom is supposed to finally fall out and weel get some cold air, the whole east coast is crap right now though

i have a jib setup on my sidewalk on an 1/2 an inch of ice and cement for landing

holiday valley (wny) isn't doing too bad. the bases probably aren't built up very good but nearly everything is open and conditions have been good recently.. Parks built/being built too. We've had about 40 inches all season but I think the mountain crews are doing a great job. Two days of fifty's comin up then solid cold, we'll be fine.

 
yes dam rain, we got hit twice during the holidays but still we are getting more snow up here in Québec come on up to québec city if you can't go out west.

 
well the only place out season can go is up, luckily im going to utah in march

yea, looks like high preassure is finnaly gonna build in the north atlantic and change this pattern, so california will stop dieing and weel get some cold, but not after everywhere south of bostons sees 60 on thursday and 50s well into vt and even canda

its snowing as i speak, in massachusetts. and its not a shortage, we just got spoiled last year, were something like 4 inches above average, and aroun 12 inches belwo last year

You keep talking about it being warm near your on Friday. In southern PA they are calling for it to get maddd cold starting friday night. For two weeks after that highs are only gonna be about 30 with lows in the 10s. Im so stoked.

yeah hear in PA its been raining almost everyday today we got snow but then its supposed to be 60 degrees bear creek is gonna dead but who know maybe this warm weather will be gone by friday

yeah we dont have great snow in vt right now but its gonna get even worse cause tomorrow its getting up to 50 and its gonna rain

Biking and skiing are fun.
 
North, West, whatever. I'm getting of 5 inches of snow falling and then 3 inches of freezing rain. Fucking Connecticut...it's good for school cancellations but the skiing is terrible.
