East coast skiers way better at rails

yeah. i agree with this. when i go out west and ski it hurts so much to go back to rails and icy jumps.
than i realize it is skiing, i love skiing.
 
Well said shaggy. All the kids in Just Dance could destroy rails outwest. Many could do damn good on jumps too. Lets name a few from the beloved PNS. Chris Laker, Nick Goepper, Cal Turbull(watchout guys kids gettin good real fast). I'm sure theres more I'm missing.

But really. Rails are way more fun. Both aspects are important to skiing. But take a west coast pow or park skier and bring them to the ice coast. Watch them struggle on the ice. Then take an east coast skier and take them out west. They can do everything you can do since we learn on the hardest stuff to ski. Sorry East coast/midwest skiers > West coasters.

You are wrong. New school started on the east coast. The west coast was still stoned in Alta with duct tape covering the holes in their gore-tex.

Also, there are a bunch of kids in utah, from utah, who are good at rails (wyble, keefer, kutcher, ton of other kids who ski pc)

East coast skiers are just good at rails because thats what they have. But kids from the west who have access to go rail setups are also good.
 
unfortunately i'm from the east and am more of a jump oriented skier.

but in regards to the forum. walker and martini's crew is mostly all east coast and they SLAYYYY. and ofcourse can not forget about wallisch
 
never ski'd the east. but i've seen some dope nastyness on rails around here. so i dunno. i don't think the east coast and west coast can really be compared when it comes to skiing. most people will defend their home mountain.
 
Wallisch is NOT the most popular man in the industry. He might be the most popular man on newschoolers, but that is not the industry. Look at powder's skier choice awards, Wallisch is not even in the to ten.

It would not surprise me if most of the best rail guys are east coasters. Most of the best big mountain guys are from the west. Many east coast folks don't have access to great mountains, so it makes sense that they would gravitate to rail skiing.

i mean lets be serious. nick martini came out of my home mountain (loon, nh) which has one of the nicest parks in the east. A bunch of pros started out in the east then moved out west. being better at rails is simply because there is nothin else to do

This is all stupid. Why cant we just enojoy where your at now and have fun. And as far as pro's ya we all realize they are damn good but where they grew is not the only reason they are good.

Just go have fun no need to start hating on kids becasue of where they are from. 80% of the people here cant afford or are not old enough to move to where they want to be.

Ya i wish i could ski out west but i make due with what i have and enjoy every second of it
 
umm dumont is form maine dude, im pretty sure thats east coast....and to make things fair Wallisch is form Penn. but he moved out to P.C utah im pretty sure, so hes kinda from both.
 
These kids are not sponsered. They are not in many movie segments. Yet they are good enough on rails to be in some of the top crews in the west coast, which I must say most are comprised of east coasters.
 
Dude, your best trick was like a disaster 270 on. Yeah I can't do that, but for someone talking so much shit I think we expected something a little better. You also looked like you had just as much forced bang so chill out. Lastly, Ski the East is about as legit as you get on the east coast, why do you care if "gapers" are rocking the stickers, it's just promoting our sport to a wider variety of audiences.
 
Im not sure that was the best edit if you want to prove something to the west coasters. I know its yours but I mean come on, every single person in that edit can do so many better tricks. Poor example.
 
If they want a true vision of it. Watch Jibulants "Just Dance". Got a chance to see this in a theater and was blown away. Yes I know thats Jibulants profile. I'm really confused that he wouldn't advertise that. But seriously guys. Some ill stuff in that movie.
