definately a funny thread, but the fact of the matter is that an east coast skier is used to icy/hardpacked conditions. Given good conditions (i.e. out west) an east coast skier can hold their own. However, take a west coast skier, and bring em to the east with the icy/hardpack/man-made conditions and a west coast skier chokes (and of course there are exceptions, I'm not denying that).

Plain and simple, you have to be very technically sounds in the east coast because of the conditions. Out West, with softer conditions (and actually having powder) you can get away with a lot less technical skill (using edges).

In my opinion every good skier should ski both Coasts and form their own oppinions.

i have to give it up to the east coast. don't talk shit, there is alot of undergroung shit going on over here and i am sure that you couldn't handle falling on the ice that is why you stick to the 6 foot powder pussy
