East Coast park/all mountain ski

New member
Im new to park and I'm looking to get a park ski that's good on groomers and in the park as well. Currently looking at the J skis all plays and the Armada ARV 96. Any suggestions? thanks
 
Depends on what features you hit in park, and how much you value all-mountain. ARVs will be better on jumps and all-mountain, Js will be ligher and flexier, making them more suited to rails.

Carving? Steep technical stuff? Trees? Side hits and jibs? What part of all-mountain do you value most?

Pb&J, Karter 96 are pretty safe bets.
 
I demoed arv 96 this week in tahoe. It was a pretty good ski all around the mountain and in the park. You can get some good deals on them right now since its spring.

Do you know anything about the Kartel 96's. Im looking at them as well. I ski almost exclusively side hits and front side btw
 
Depends on where in NY you are skiing. We deal with a lot of ice so if this is your only ski, you'll want something with camber and minimal rocker. Just some tip rocker. Both your selections will work great. Id recommend the ARV96 over the All Plays.

I ski mostly in PA at elk and hunter / Wyndham in NY. Also go to VT a lot
 
K96 is going to be more durable and have more rocker than ARV. This will make it better in powder but carve a little looser on groomers
