Looking to hang with some park skiiers this season to up my game. Any groups out there? I’m at JFBB most weekends and some week nights.

Kinda in the same situation as you. Past seasons I’ve skied mostly blue mountain and bear creek, but pretty much everyone I skied with is gone for college. Still gotta figure out where I’m gonna get ski passes to this year.

we need a main mountain that everyone goes to in pa. Used to be jfbb but that obv isn’t the case anymore. how is it there now that it got bought out?

Takes a lot of courage but sometimes you can make some great friends by simply asking if you wanna ski together after you see them or meet them or something. Then maybe grab their Instagram or Snapchat or whatever to coordinate when to go to the hill. I’ve made some great friends that I consider my brothers to this day, just by being social and positive on hill. Most park skiers are the same so I’m sure you’ll have some luck. If you are passionate about skiing you’ll find others who are as well, one way or another. Good luck homie.

Come to roundtop, I'll be there most weekends. Our park has been way better than anything JFBB has had the past couple years so it's def worth the drive and usually a pretty good crew lapping on the weekends. I'm usually wearing a red arsenic sweatshirt and black pants, don't hesitate to say hi sometime!

I drive 3 hours to PA every weekend, got a place I stay up there in the winter. I like the the variety and I’m close enough to hunter for day trips, and Vermont for a weekend trip.

You can join me and my buddies. Our group is called the Nut-Bustin' Belly Boys. We get together every Saturday during the winter at Montage Mountain. Last year the park was nice AF and we enjoyed our time there. Anyone is welcome to join us anytime :)

P.S: we don't use the bathroom

i agree with this 100% i have met some quality friends just by asking about their skis/snowboard and lapping with them. Some used to give me rides to and from the mountain before i could drive without question

Is JFBB good anymore? Used to be amazing. Also did they fix the lift that services the park

run?

last year their park guys got hurt which really limited their hours to work. At JF the park is a priority trail required to be open for the mountain to be open. At BB the park trails are low on the priority. Also the BB park lift was busted so they didn’t want to run it.

At hunter mtn they need a rope pull for the small park.

Last year JF was better park than BB. Also that’s a shame about BB getting neglected park wise. Back in 2018 I swear they had the best jump line I’ve ever hit. Whoever was running the park scene over there was the man!

This. Just being chill and just kinda shredding along w new ppl and then chatting them up at the lift makes new friends fast, and you can sorta “steal” each others tricks. I met a really good new friend at BB just by sayin what up! , now we’re business partners. All cuz of the terrain park. Very pure community (usually) This doesn’t work as well at Mountain Creek NJ. Everyone’s such an asshole there lol

It's def worth the drive mid-late season. Early season we only have the j-bar park set up, which usually is pretty fun on its own, but idk if you'd wanna drive 2 hours for 6-8 features, but it may still be better than anything at JFBB. Main park usually gets going in January and runs through March, theres usually 1-2 small medium jumps, and at least 3 lines of rails.
